Affiliate disclosure
The short version: some links pay us, the scores do not care.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you see is the same either way.
We participate in several affiliate programs, including BBQGuys, the Amazon Associates program, and Pit Boss's partner program. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Three things commissions never touch:
- Scores and rankings. The weighted method at how we test is fixed before any grill is scored, and several grills we cover carry no affiliate link at all. They get the same honest write-ups.
- Discontinued warnings. When a model is no longer sold, we say so and point at its replacement, even when the discontinued write-up earns nothing.
- Test data. A dash in the database means unverified. No commission fills in a number.
Manufacturers sometimes send grills for testing. That gets a grill on the bench, never a better score.
